I’m so excited to announce the release of “I Am a Child of God: Songs for Primary”! Although I’ve been writing Primary arrangements for Jenny Phillips for the past two years, beginning this year, I will now be the one producing it, and I’ve had such fun doing it! The CD is designed to help children learn the primary program songs for 2013, and it will release on October 2nd. It includes beautiful performances by Jenny Phillips, Kristie Barnhurst, Chad Neth, Brian Rhodes, Maryanne Martin, April Moriarty and Julie Gaisford Keyes. (Click on the link below to see more.)

It required the contributions of over 100 musicians (of all ages), and was recorded in seven studios in three states. The album sets Seminary Mastery scriptures to reverent, concert-like music, and is designed to help families, youth and missionaries memorize scriptures, as well as share them with people of all faiths.

1. I was thrilled to write 3 arrangements for the new 2011 Primary Theme CD (produced by Jenny Phillips) which was released yesterday. The CD is designed to help kids learn the 2011 songs for the program while listening to all-new musical arrangements. They’re priced very cheaply in packs so they can be distributed to friends and family. I had the opportunity to write for harp and conduct the children’s choir, which I loved so much I didn’t want to go home! 2. Jenny and I will be presenting a Young Singer/Songwriter Workshop and Vocal Competition together this July, which I’m reeeeeeally excited about.
